So, now do you see my stress about this girl and what the H_ _ _ is going on?! The good news is that these tramatic events may have impressed in her mind a smaller desire for scissors and gum...I hope!

Pasynne is One!

PS I haven't blogged, digi-scrapped, or played around on PSE for a LONG time, but for some reason these pics look better when they are in PSE than they do on here?? Anybody know why?

Shake Your Booty!
There are very few "grown up" CD's the kids like to listen to when we drive & one of them happens to be Disco music!

6 Months Old & First Haircut
I did a post last month about Pasynne's crazy hair. I was nervous at first, but as usual, I was so pleased after it was done!! Her hair looks so much more even and full now! (it helped that all my hair-dresser friends gave me 2 thumbs up on the idea)
P.S. She LOVES the water!
P.P.S. Bumbo's will float in the tub after about 2 inches have accumulated, so PLEASE don't think leaving your baby in their Bumbo in the tub is a great idea. Just remember, "I am a professional, please don't try this at home." Hahaha

The Last to Know
Down at the bottom of the post you are creating there are little blue words that say "Post Options" ,and believe it or not, you can actually CHOOSE when to have your post posted!! Imagine that. An option of when to post. Found under "Post Options"!
I could have figured that out on my own if Blogger hadn't been so sneaky (...heavy sarcasm included...)!!
Thanks again Anna!! :)
PS I actually wrote this on Feb 3rd at 10:35 PM-Look at me go!

Our New Old Table
First we got it for a STEAL of a deal because it was on consignment at a local furniture store. I was SO SO close to buying a table set that I'd had my eye on somewhere else, but we decided to check this other place out. Matt wasn't so sure when he saw it, but the minute my eyes discovered it I knew. Oh yes, that table will be mine! It cost us half the price of what we would have paid for the other table being considered!! Oh ya!
Now, why is it in the basement you ask? Well...one of my requirements to a new table was that it needed to be black. That is part of the reason that Matt passed it up so quickly when he saw it. I tried to talk him into buying it anyway, but he was afraid that I'd have buyers remorse after getting it home. I finally confessed that I was planning to sand it down and repaint/stain the whole thing. Matt gave me one of his, "Uh-hu. I'll believe that when I see it!" looks and agreed to get it on one condition - It had to stay in the basement until it was all finished :( He knows me too well.
We bought it 2 days before Thanksgiving & it sat downstairs looking so full of potential, but I was afraid to start for fear of making some huge mistake along the road to my dream table. However, I am happy to say that it has made a transition. With Matt's help it is on the verge of getting a fresh coat of paint & stain! (we are doing the whole table first & then we'll start on the chairs) Stay tuned for pictures of the transformation!! I know I'm excited-are you?
I say scissor thief because Brinley has been known to cut *things in the past & has been banned from using scissors without permission/supervision. (*my new blanket, her pillow case, her pajama shirt, a BRAND NEW shirt of hers etc.) She managed to find a pair of scissors that I had hidden and decided that her hair cut wasn't quite meeting her standards. She quietly took matters into her own hands and butchered- I mean cut her own hair.
Her hair had previously, after I had cut it, been all one length. I could do lots of fun stuff with it & she loved having her hair "pretty".
Now I had to try and make "pretty" hair out of this mulitple lenth, mostly two inch chunk, half bang mess!
Her main hair style for the next little while was my white girl version of what sorta looked like corn rows. (Sorry about the random picture. This is the only one I could find that showed the majority of her hair.)
This is a closer view of the top & how I had to hide the disaster! (She was in the tub & I was about to undo it for the night.)
After about 2 months of these tiny, intricate, time consuming hair-do's her hair had only grown out a little & I couldn't take it any more!
So, I decided to cut her some bangs! (haha, I love this picture) The minute I cut them she went from my little baby face Brinley to this Big Girl! She looks so cute with bangs & I wish I would have cut some a lot sooner!! Phew...hair headaches averted.
If scissors weren't a big enough issue with this girl she also has to add gum to the list of things she loves, but can't have. I cannot keep her away from the stuff! If she were a dog she could be on a top police team solving mysteries of missing gum! No matter where I hide the stuff she can always find it!
It wasn't pretty, but after about 30 minutes of pulling, whining, and combing I got it out.
The amount of hair she lost was substantially less than if I had cut it out.
